MS 500 Protect Fire is a one-component elastic fire-resistant joint sealant based on hybrid polymers. MS 500 Protect Fire provides fire resistance in linear movement joints and can be used to fire-seal horizontal and vertical joints as well as connection joints between walls, floors and ceilings. The product cures under the influence of atmospheric moisture to form a durable, permanently elastic rubber.

Applications:
- For sealing movement and connection joints in construction where fire resistance is required and the spread of fire, smoke and toxic gases must be restricted.
- Suitable for horizontal, vertical and connection joints.
Properties:
- Tested in accordance with EN 1366-4.
- Up to 3 hours of fire resistance, depending on the joint construction.
- Suitable for joints up to 40 mm wide.
- Suitable for walls made from aerated concrete (class G4/600) or heavier, concrete and masonry with a minimum thickness of 50, 60, 70 or 100 mm.
- Suitable for connections around timber and steel frames.
- Good primerless adhesion to most substrates, including aerated concrete, concrete, plaster, wood, glass and galvanised steel.
- Can be applied to damp substrates.
- Good resistance to UV radiation and a wide range of weather conditions.
- Free from isocyanates, solvents and silicones.
