Tixbond PU D4 is a professional, fast-curing, transparent (cream-coloured) polyurethane adhesive with a paste-like, thixotropic consistency. The adhesive has filling properties and will foam slightly during curing, depending on the amount of moisture present in the substrate.
Applications:
- Bonding all types of timber joints, including frames, skirting boards, sheet materials and flooring components.
- Surface bonding, dowels, timber joints, mortise-and-tenon joints and dovetails.
- Bonding wood to metal, stone, concrete, plastics and insulation materials such as PU foam, PS foam, mineral wool and glass wool.
- Also suitable for almost all commonly encountered substrates in construction and industry.
- Suitable for interior and exterior applications, including exterior joinery.
- Marine and interior joinery.
Properties:
- Very rapid through-cure.
- Limited filling action with slight foaming.
- Low odour.
- Good sag resistance; does not drip.
- Water-resistant (D4).
- Suitable for exterior finger joints.
- Durably resistant to weather, water and moisture.
- Paintable and sandable.
